Regenerative surgery includes those  surgical interventions that help tissues to repair via biological means.


Regenerative surgery involves both surgery and cellular methods

This differs from regenerative medicine inasmuch as the doctor needs to be a qualified surgeon. So regenerative orthopaedics is split into two disciplines, where one - eg the injection of stem cells, can be formed by doctors who are surgeons and doctors who are not.
