Osteochondrosis

Osteochondrosis is a general term implying that there is some abnormal process going on in the joint cartilage and underlying bone.

Causes of osteochondrosis

The condition usually first appears in youngsters who are growing rapidly, and it is thought that there is a problem with local blood supply to areas of cartilage and its underlying bone. Sometimes this term is used interchangeably with 'osteochondritis'.
