Lateral collateral ligament

The lateral collateral ligament supports the knee joint on its outer aspect, ie the lateral side.

The lateral collateral ligament is also called the fibular collateral ligament because it has an attachment to the fibula bone.

The lateral collateral ligament, probably better called the fibular collateral ligament, is one of a number of structures comprising the important area of the knee called the posterolateral corner
