The hamstrings curl with a Swiss ball helps to build up both the hamstrings and the lower back muscles.

Legs extended on the Swiss ball - hamstrings relaxed.
Patient lying on back with legs on Swiss Ball and flexing the knees.
Flexing the knees and lifting the buttock - hamstrings contracted. These are the 'curls'.

What is a Swiss ball?

A Swiss ball can be obtained from a sports or rehabilitation shop and is an aid to exercise.
