Can a PCL tear lead to osgood schlatters disease?

Post by Yovan88 »

I have a PCL tear and no trouble until a month ago. I always was very active running 2 miles a day, swimming, weight lifting and a month ago I felt a bump right bellow my knee. It is very tender very similar symptoms to osgood schatters disease. There is pain during running and after, it got more severe with time. I can still run but there is pain and more so afterwards. Is it possible I got osgood schlatter because of the PCL tear since it puts preasure on the ACL?

I've got Chondromalacia and I think this has lead to OSD, I'd imagine it's theoritically possible as incorrect movement of the knee can surely cause the tendon to tuck at the connection at the tibia and become aggrivated? My pain feels a bit prickly as if there are many tiny points of pain rather than a large overriding pain.
