Hardware removal is normally a fast recovery. In and out of hospital the same day and surgery anywhere from 1 to 2 hours. Usually , NWB for a couple of days and in general very little discomfort. A few weeks after the hardwarere removal my knee felt great and after 4 weeks I was back to normal.
