Re: Born without ACL's

Post by TerCad »

Hello everyone,
We have an almost 2-year-old boy and it was found that he lacks anterior cruciate ligaments on both knees.
I wanted to ask, when did they find out you missed it?
Was it to know you didn't have them?
The son has legs in x(genua valga) when he stands up, another time he has them straight.
Did you wear any braces as a child?
I apologize for my English, we are from the Czech Republic.

Thank you for any answers
Tereza

We just found out my son doesn’t have an ACL in his left leg. He is 12. We started PT with him about a year ago but his knee was still giving him pain. We finally got some answers with an MRI. He wants to get ACL surgery soon because his knee feels super unstable. I am not so sure but we will see after 2 months of PT (again) if it helps. It’s so amazing to hear others who have this condition as well. I feel so lost. My son is my world. He has some roads ahead of him.
