Dr. unable to get hardware out

I had an HTO and OATs 3 years ago. Last year I had surgery to try and remove the plate and screws (along with scare tissue) because Dr. believed hardware could be part of my pain. Well he tried but said he was unable to get the hardware out. I am still having a lot of daily pain and wondering if the...

Upcoming HTO with OATS

I'm having a HTO with OATS in one week. I've had two Fulkerosn Osteotomies before so I have somewhat of an idea of what I'm getting myself into but what advice do you have for me as in preparing myself for recovery at home. I'm a tad concerned about pain control as my dr is doing this as an outpatie...

Re: 4mo post micro fracture MRI still shows grade 4

Only time shall tell I guess. I do think after my apt in 6 weeks I may consider seeing a new dr as I still have another...

Re: Microfracture and soccer

I am also 4 months post op from microfracture, capsular release, and a few other minor things. You are way ahead of me. I can't even straighten my leg straight out while sitting. I still have significant pain and my knee is completely unstable so I couldn't think of running. I'd say based on my expe...

Pain 3mo after surgery- Questions

While sitting I can't straighten my leg. My knee is very unstable. To be honest at this point I'm regretting having surgery. My sur...

Re: Pain 15 years post TTT need options

Thanks for the replies. I did get a second opinions and recently had surgery on one of my knees. He performed microfracture due to an area being bone on bone, synovectomy, capsular release, and anterior interval release. So far recovery is slower than I would have hoped but fingers crossed this does...

Re: 2 weeks after micro fracture surgery

So happy to hear you are feeling so good and I agree to follow advice. If it's wirking don't change a thing. I had microfracture along with synvovectomy, capsular release, and anterior interval release and was full weight bearing as tolerated right away. I have been miserable and surgery was 1.5 wee...
