Re: Chrondomalacia or Dislocated Kneecap? Is this really "chronic"?

That's actually a really good idea, I don't know after a year of this I haven't sought out a specialist, other than an orthopedist.

And I'll wear the brace. I'm not in any pain now so I think its "in place" at the moment. Thank you for the help!

Re: Chrondomalacia or Dislocated Kneecap? Is this really "chronic"?

Sounds like it's malaligned, not necessarily dislocated, ie out of its groove. Is the groove shallow? VERY shallow - there's barely any space. Can you explain maligned a bit? I've been convinced it's been dislocated for the past year and I just keep hearing "off track." The most recent do...

Chrondomalacia or Dislocated Kneecap? Is this really "chronic"?

It's been over a year since my "accident" (I slipped on a mashed banana in a big box store... I've since settled with the company... the only problem remaining is my knee, which ended up behind me when I landed in the splits when I fell. Yeah, it's kind of a funny story until we get to my ...

Re: Knee looks "perfect" - so why does it hurt?

I should update this: Went to another Urgent Care /ER doc. She did a full leg xray and merged with my MRI and realized (LIKE I DID) i have no ligaments around my entire left knee. Patella is also tracking diagnally causing ONE hamstring to pull. So I have arthritis. I'll deal with that in a few. Pla...

Re: No support system

Also I FORGOT Based on your income level - I JUST FOUND THIS OUT - Medicaid will pay for a car - A CAR! - to get you around town. My parents aren't available issue due to problems with younger sis. My friends have their own problems. Can your insurance provide physiatrics support? If there's another...

Re: No support system

In our area I found some good people just to text with through church sessions. Like, one was a divorce group, on was a financial class for women. I stay away from meetup (maybe thats just me) but if you use facebook, you can can down a rabbit hole into so many cool things happening. And when you me...

Re: I refuse treatment after last ER Visiit

I think you mentioned being on lithium in another post. Have you discussed the knee issues with your psychiatrist, perhaps he or she can help get you managed by the orthopaedic drs better? Hope you get sorted :) Man we are all mind readers. I am on sate-funded healthcare (for now...) and no one is ...

Clearing the clutter: Writing letters?

I used to rely on Yelp for every pet peeve I had. This was sort of worth it, i was "elite" for a few years and got into free happy hours, concerts, etc. But it was really negative, often, and THIS year made a decision to TALK to business owners about the good and bad. I usually speak to th...

Final Dx: Tracking Issues + Arthritis

I have no idea where to put this. Mods, feel free to move. I could count doctors instead of sheep to fall asleep, but after opening up my own MRIs I saw a few things : My knee was off center and TWO I had ZERO cart. in joints. This is after seeing FOUR other specialists who said "YOU LOOK GREAT...

Re: Knee looks "perfect" - so why does it hurt?

Another Update Some awesome girl at FedEx helped me move my MRI desk to a drive. We tesed it and it worked at the store so I came home and and I had the 180 view of my knee. It's really hard to diag but looks like they were told to; I have my Meniscus 101 ways. It looks like its out of place and po...

Re: Knee looks "perfect" - so why does it hurt?

Yours appears to be a case that might require an exploratory scope to find the source of pain. The sooner the better, so your muscles dont atrophy any more and you have less time to damage that knee more...or even the other knee while compensating. Mine is absolutely a meniscus issue - everything f...

Knee looks "perfect" - so why does it hurt?

I have my MRI and XRAYS - the knee specialist says they look "perfect". Nothing to suggest anything wrong, even the note the tech wrote about the meniscus is hard to find its barely noticable. If there's nothing wrong with my knee, why can't i Walk or stand or sit? Is this all in my head? ...

Re: I refuse treatment after last ER Visiit

How did you do this knowing your insurance might deny your visit as covered? Also, if you saw multiple doctors......weren't you labeled as "doctor shopping"? Of course, if one runs to new doctors all the time, people would have problems understanding it, but if one seeks second, third etc...
