Re: Post-Stem Celll PRP comparisons -- with pictures

Dal_knee: 2 distinct issues: 1) I didn't said that concentration is totally irrelevant, I said it's very difficult to retrieve the leukocyte layer without some level of RBC contamination. Even though there are kits capable of doing so, it usually involves ridiculous prices, that don't justify the be...

Re: Post-Stem Celll PRP comparisons -- with pictures

Dal_knee: I need to point out a few possible issues with your interpretation and note that I have by personal experience, more than 20 PRP shots and multiple stem cells injected on me: 1) Most platelets end up right in the middle layer of the final concentrate... This means red cells to the bottom, ...

Re: There's a pill that claims to regrow bone and cartilage with stem cells

I have been browsing the web for years on the same subject and found hundreds of miracle pills, treatments and witch crafts that will make it all alright... obviously, this is just as much non-sense as the manhood enlargement pills that spam your email account.

Sarah: Never had that specific brand of HA, but in the last 14 months I have had 26 intra-articular injections to my knee (HA, stem cells and PRP), with more coming soon. So speaking from experience: 1) If your joint is has inflammation it will hurt. Inflammation causes the nervous system in the joi...

But how much will it cost the hyperbaric chamber? Same or more than another PRP shot?

Re: Knee makes crunching/cracking sound when extended

It's better. Been asymptomatic, but I don't take these treatments as a 1 shot and it's over... I am supplying in regular intervals in order to promote sustained growth. There is no scaffold so whatever will grow (if any) will be from repeated supply.

Re: Knee makes crunching/cracking sound when extended

No, unfortunately there is no exercise that will fix that... not a good thing to hear I know, but it is the truth. I'm in the same boat. Cartilage that is broken becomes irregular in it's surface and produces that crunching noise. What you can do at the moment is keep your muscles strong to minimize...

Re: New Here- MRI showed no meniscal tears, but I feel there is one!

Yes, be careful with surgery and please read all the comments of people who did it. It's like flipping a coin, some folks get better, some folks get worse, but even those who do get better, in the end will have far less cartilage and meniscus left and new tears may also come after the clean up... If...

Re: New Here- MRI showed no meniscal tears, but I feel there is one!

Cindjo: This is a very old story... MRIs skip in average 25% of meniscus tears that are indeed found in surgery... mostly because it's a cloudy image that relies on a lot of interpretation... I could relate to the symptoms you describe and it was indeed a meniscus tear. But knees are tricky, could b...

Re: Positive then negative test

You are failing if you consider these tests to be bullet proof against false positives or false negatives... These tests are subject to a lot of interpretation from the doctor and mistakes can happen often. Aside that partial torn ligaments have the ability to heal themselves naturally to a certain ...

In Toronto you have Dr. Anthony Galea. Don't know about prices, but as far as I heard joint problems do tend to get solved with him.
