Has anyone had success with Ozone injections?

I've only just heard about this, through searching on YouTube. Has anyone had ozone /prolozone injections into their knee and has it helped at all? It sounds similar to PRP in that there are claims about joint space thickening etc.

Re: Has anyone here been getting Hyaluronic acid injections for years and years?

Thanks for yet another response, I appreciate it I'm only 40 so not a candidate for TKR yet. I've mostly just trashed the medial compartment of my knee through many years of running without a meniscus, which was removed at a young age. I've got maybe 35% exposed bone in the medial compartment. Walki...

Re: Has anyone here been getting Hyaluronic acid injections for years and years?

Thank you for your reply. No I actually havent had any shots yet, I was just wondering if i do decide to get them, are they something I could keep getting. I thought the maximum effect was 6 months. Could you tell me which you found more effective - single shot or 3 course? From what I've read onlin...

Has anyone here been getting Hyaluronic acid injections for years and years?

I'm just wondering, is there a limit on how many times you can get it?

Has anyone had success having them every 6 months or so, for years on end?

Knee Anatomy diagram during deep flexion? Why is it so hard to find?

I can find millions of anatomical drawings online for a straight/standing knee. But can anyone direct me to an anatomical diagram of the knee while in deep flexion, i.e. squatting? I particularly want to see how the PES anserine muscles move during deep knee flexion.

Re: Is there a surgery just to remove bone spurs at the back of the knee?

It may not be something they'll do via public health (depending on your country) so may have to pay Is it congenital or the result of arthritis? I've had arthritic ones smoothed down in the intercondylar notch I live in Australia so its not a big problem in terms of money, even if I have to pay. It...

Is there a surgery just to remove bone spurs at the back of the knee?

I have a bone spur right at the joint line level (on Tibial plateau), posterior medial corner of knee (visible on both MRI and Xray).

Is there a surgery that goes in behind the knee to remove such spurs? It feels like its really irritating the muscles and tendons back there.

Re: Best book on complete knee anatomy?

Hey thanks for those. But those are pretty vague still. Im after very scientifically accurate diagrams which are consistent. i.e. I cant find out where exactly the adductor magnus and the semimembranosus insert on the knee. Im trying to find a diagram that shows the exact insertion of both of these ...

Best book on complete knee anatomy?

We've all done the googling, but its hard to accumulate all the information with consistent diagrams etc.

Does anyone know of a book I can buy somewhere (or a digital book or whatever), with a total, complete, comprehensive anatomy of the knee? Down to every last tiny detail.

Can scar tissue cause knee effusion?

Ive had MRI and been cleared of any new meniscus tears, and PCL and ACL are intact. But im pretty sure i have a bunch of scar tissue in my knee from past meniscus surgery. Can this be causing random swellings that happen in my knee from time to time? They seem to occur for no reason. Can this be fro...

Flex through the pain to break up scar tissue?

I was just reading about how doctors will manipulate a knee under anaesthesia to break up scar tissue and increase range of movement. I had no idea this was even a thing. I have some pretty intense stiffness in my knee, especially when deep flexing/squatting. It is incredibly wrenching pain, and fee...

KEEP ICING? - 8 weeks post op

Hi there,
I'm 8 weeks post op for an open wedge HTO. I've been walking since week 3. I still have swelling, but I stopped ICING around week 5 because I thought it becomes useless after a certain point? Or should I keep ICING so long as there is still swelling?

Thanks

Can internal swelling in the knee be caused by something external?

I have swelling inside the knee joint, which has been hanging around for some months now. But after visiting a bunch of physiotherapists, half of them are saying there is nothing wrong inside my knee (negative on all the ligament tests, and Mcmurray's etc.) But I've been told I have tight hamstrings...

Joint-Line Tenderness, other causes?

Assuming its not Meniscus tear, and the MCL is intact, can there be other causes? Isn't there some kind of bursa on the medial joint line? Or a sheath under the MCL that can get inflamed from rubbing against bone during walking? Surely Meniscus and MCL tear aren't the only causes for a tender spot o...
