Personally I'd go for a reconstruction. In the early days after my ACL rupture in 2004 - I felt fine - as time goes on you may find your knee giving way whilst you change direction and the wear on your meniscus may well be accelerated with no ACL in place - Rehab isnt easy - but an ACL deficient kne...

Hi I have not had the brace issue but I have had both hamstring and patellar grafts taken from my same leg.....
