Re: Tony's seeing the OS again...

Re: MRI effectiveness / accuracy

don't have any links but both of my pervious OS have told me in caution that we can't rely on MRI's alone, they are often incorrect either by over-estimating or underestimating the images

Re: Help with MRI results

braces are a good "get me through". However they aren't a cure. In all reality, although they will "kind of" hold things in place with a meniscus + PCL tear it might be a better idea to try and see a different OS. Do some quad exercises but I'd try to see another doctor. By the ...

Re: Radiologist and OS Disagree

definately not, plus you know your symptoms and ailements, I'd always go with the OS opinion as they also know how your knee performed on the physical exam

Re: SEX!

I can only imagine... I have difficulty with one (really) bad knee. I don't mind, often the girlfriend does most of the work now, but sometimes I wanna be doing the work and it frustrates me that I can't

RICE it for now and make sure you bring this up with your OS in your follow up appt, do your isometric quad excercises for the time being though

best of luck, Tony

Re: Dang ACL tear...

As snowy said get your leg in a best shape as you can before surgery, pump the VMO andd HAMYS before the op. You will loose some of the strength you build up after the op but you'll still be a little farther ahead. As far as being able to test it really does depend on you. I had a career planned but...

Re: Tony's seeing the OS again...

Sure is weird, having a slowly coming apart lcl and a blown mcl sucks. The brace is coming off tomorrow, replacing it with a neopyrene sleve and tape. That is an awful lot of damage for a very minor (and common) action that we all do at least once a day. There does have to be some underlying conditi...

I just got out of the shower and twisted to put the towel away and snap, crackle, pop. $114 for the a...

Re: Tony's seeing the OS again...

just a little update for everyone: MRI on August 30th. Pain is getting worst by the day and more debilitating, having some ACLish symptoms now as well. The report to workers comp (dr couldn't specify any diagnosis w/o MRI) said that there could be several ligamentous injuries along with more menisci...
