Can patients get copies of skyview x-rays
« on: September 09, 2004, 05:06:53 PM »
Does anyone know if it is possible in Canada to get copies of your x-rays?  It seems that in the US it is possible, but here in the Maritimes so far I have not been able to get copies of even the regular x-rays.
I am about to go to another city around here and will have for the first time a skyview x-ray and would like a copy for my own files.  Anyone here know how to go about getting copies.

I live in Halifax NS and I was able to get my xrays to take them to another OS and to my chiropractor. You call ahead to the hospital xray department and tell them you want to sign out your xrays.  ::) They should have them ready, you can't really keep them..though I never took mine back from my Chiropractor, he still has them.  If you had recent xrays atleast here in Halifax they can put them on CD Rom for you.  ::)
Give it a try. Here at the QEII hospital, they have the xray library and you can go sign out your xrays. They keep all of that stuff.
Hope that helped
