Knee info needed
« on: July 30, 2004, 12:33:30 AM »
I train in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (which is like wrestling) and today I twisted my knee and I cant figure out what is wrong. My left knee got twisted inward and popped really loud I was able to limp off of the mats and ice it right away it feels like a deep bruise but I'm scared to do anything  athletic. I feel pain when I straighten my leg and flex it and when I walk on it but I did the tests on this site and had no pain while doing them. The pain I have is on the outside of my left knee almost on  the back of my leg right by my tendons I think.

you could have torn a meniscus or a collateral ligament. I'd suggest getting it checked by an orthopedic surgeon.
multiple arthroscopies 2/00,3/01,6/01,1/03, 12/07,10/10. chondromalacia, severe medial joint space narrowing following 3 partial menisectomies, chronic pain problems, kneecap problems, OCD lesion, failed mfx.
