Knee Pain After years of surgery
« on: October 29, 2002, 04:51:25 PM »
I am a 30 year old female from Texas. When I was 17 years old I broke my leg horseplaying with my boyfriend.
I have a screw and bolt in my knee. I had cartilage and ligiment damage in my left knee. I expierenced numbness for a long time, that has passed. The last couple of years I have had on and off pain in my knee. I recently went to get an MRI to find out what was causing the pain. I take Naproxen 500mg tablets twice daily and Tramadol 50mg for pain. I just found out that I'm pregnant and won't be able to take these types of medications for pain. Can anyone suggest what I can do next!
Thanks for listening!

This is a good news and bad news case  ;)

You do not, however, give us enough information. Where were the fractures (breaks) and what was done about the ligament and meniscus damage? What was the result of recently seeing the OS and what did the MRI report read?
