Depressing post op report - meniscus questions
« on: June 21, 2004, 11:43:58 PM »
Learned today that I have only 30 percent medial meniscus left after 3 partial medial meniscus repairs and about 75 percent lateral meniscus. Some softening of the cartilage behind the patella.

Asking for feedback/encouragement from others who have had this much or more meniscus removed and how they are faring.  It is discouraging to have gone through 3 surgeries in a year to learn now that I have very little medial cartilage left and unknow pain reduction prognosis due to this factor.

Thanks for any words you can offer.
