I can shower
« on: June 08, 2004, 08:53:24 AM »
I am one week post surgery and am still only partial weight bearing (and I mean very partial). I had my husband wash one of our inexpenive molded all plastic backyard chairs. I use it to shower Our shower head is one that you can hold in your hand. Using the chair and shower head, I can shower independently without the fear of slipping. It is amazing how wonderful something like this can feel when recouperating

I recently got to take my first shower and it was the best thing ever!!!  I had gotten one of those shower chairs which was a great purchase :)
Although I still am unable to get my own leg into the bathtub. I cant lift it high enough to get it over the ledge so I still need some help.  It is amazing how such little routine things are such great triumphs after an operation :)
