Painful to bend
« on: May 28, 2004, 05:34:29 PM »
Hi guys,

I had my first post op check up yesterday (6 weeks) after Tib Plat fx.  I was told that i may be able to start weight bearing in 2 weeks time :D

The Dr. i saw (i didnt see my consultant as he was unavailable!!) altered my brace so now, theoretically, i have full ROM.  My brace had been set on 90dg.  I am finding it hard to bend my knee futher than the 90dg, i also have a sharp pain across my knee cap and a tight feeling.  Is this normal?  Should i bend ny leg and push my way through the pain or stop when it gets painfull?  I am not seeing a PT so i have no professional guidance.  Also i have not got a clue what exercises i should be doing to increase ROM.  Any help, tips or advice would be great.

Thanks
Jo
