Has this research ever been discussed on this forum?

The study isn't available to download. And anyhow comparison with microrafture is a bit pointless nowadays.

Comparison should be made with MACI or with other AMIC procedures. This looks just like a another go at AMIC.
Kartigen Taiwan has some interesting studies on AMIC that gave good results even in really old - around 60 years - participants and rct Vs microrafture with ré look arthroscopie.

However as with all things including microracture results degrade after a year, though with kartigen much less Vs plain microrafture.
While Maci/autocart peak at 2-3 years before starting a slow degradation.
