Been like this for five years now
« on: April 19, 2022, 07:00:41 PM »
My knee keeps "catching" when I extend it in a lying position.  It doesn't do it on the right leg at all.  It's really annoying.  Is there anything I can do to change this behavior?  Nothing I have tried so far works.

Have you seen a medical professional? Been assessed for muscle function by a physiotherapist? Ruled out an anatomical issue by having an MRI?
If you’ve done all of these, have you been given a diagnosis? A management or exercise programme? What have you done to try to resolve it?
Knee issues can be unilateral, just because one knee is ok, it doesn’t mean there’s no treatable issue with the other.
If you’ve not seen a knee specialist physio or doctor, after 5 years and it’s truly bothering you, then see one. If there’s no pain, it might just be how your knee is but you should get it seen regardless. Only a physical examination and potentially imaging will let you know if there’s something to be done.

Good luck

Oh man, I don't know if it's a coincidence or not but I think it's healed.  It hasn't caught all day today.
