« on: December 17, 2021, 11:35:59 AM »
Hi Guys, just a bit of bad news for hubby and wonder if anyone has been through similar or can advise in any way , Hubby has had TKR and MUA this year, he has been is so much pain and his mobility is terrible, even though he works every day. e-mailed the hospital got him an early follow up app. with his consultant and he has said there is nothing else that can be done due to his scar tissue and the MUA hasn't worked. Also there is nothing wrong with the knee replacement, his flexion is 30 degrees and he has had both Nhs and private physio and they have both said they cant do anything else....please help 😞😞😞😞😞 it is actually worse than before his TKR and his mobility and pain is far worse

Sorry to hear this.
Is there a chance he could get a second opinion from another surgeon specialised in knee replacements (and revisions)?
If in the U.K., you may need to go the private route to speed things up and choose a specific surgeon.
It is a potential complication with TKR but that doesn’t mean there isn’t a possible solution from a fresh pair of eyes from a surgeon who does a lot of TKRs and is likely to have seen complications before
Good luck :)
