Popping and hard to move after TTT
« on: May 21, 2021, 07:27:33 PM »
So I am 2 weeks post-op right lateral patellar release and TTT. I just had an appointment with my doctor saying to start doing some exercises to bend the knee - bending until I feel the stretch, holding for 30 seconds, releasing. I have noticed that when I try to bend my knee even the slightest it feels like it is popping and there is a small amount of stinging pain. There is also a time where I try and bend it there is a point where it will physically not move any farther and there is a moderate amount of pain. Is this normal or should I call my doctor? Has anybody else experienced this?  :(

Probably nothing to worry about (I think there can be a lot of pains, sensations, popping etc after surgeries) but for your own peace of mind, I would suggest that you check with your doc or physio.

Can I ask what your injury/damage is/was that led to this surgery?
RK sharp pain while running, diagnosis chondromalacia patellae 6/09
RK arthroscopic chondroplasty 9/09
RK rehab, recovery, 90% normal, started running again -> back to square one 5/15
RK diagnosis patellofemoral arthritis + LK diagnosis chondromalacia patellae 8/15 -> conservative treatment
