Knee twist and pain while playing soccer
« on: January 04, 2021, 01:49:41 PM »
My daughter had ACL surgery 18 months ago and has been playing college soccer for the past 6 months. She was playing indoor pick up yesterday when she twisted and had pain in her knee. She didn't hear the dreaded pop but stopped playing and was very worried.  Her knee is painful, mostly on inside of knee, but she can walk with a small limp and bend/extend.  Since she had ACL surgery on this knee I am wondering if we need to get in to an ortho immediately or wait a few days and see how it feels?

Id wait a few days (if not a few weeks) with strict rest, elevation and regular icing :)
Maybe just tweaked the MCL, could be sore for a month or two

Torn medial meniscus which had been repaired a year and half ago.  Surgeon thinks the repair failed.
