Hi,
i am new to the forum and looking for some help regarding my knee pain.
I have been diagnosed with Patella alta and PFPS 5 months back. I didn't injure anywhere..I don't know how it a started. I just did a new walking routine on the hilly roads in the month of August. I did it for a month. I just realised that I didn't do it with a proper shoe. Those shoes were not very supportive and  I did walk in the same shoe. Went to an Ortho and had MRI. MRI says that it's patella alta and mild subluxation.
Started PT 3 and a half months back. No improvement even after the PT. I am still doing PT. I still have burning pain and swelling above my knee. What could be the reason for this? What else to do for this condition? I have the same burning pain for last 6 months. It burns whenever I sit down, stand and lying down. i.e legs bent and stretch straight.
I also did dry needling sessions as part of PT. That doesn't help too.. My PT say i need more sessions of dry needling.  Also, i need more strengthening exercises as my muscles are so weak.

What to do for this? Any other solutions recommended? How to recover from this? Anyone had this before? How did you recover from it?
I am suffering from this burning pain for past 6 months. Its been the same burning pain till today.  How long does it take to recover?

Adding the MRI report. I had 2 MRI's.
MRI 1:
Findings/conclusion:

1. Anterior compartment: Mild lateral patellar subluxation is present with no patellar tilt. There is developmental prominence of the lateral trochlear ridge. The trochlear groove tibial tubercle distance is within normal measuring 1.4 centimeter. The quadriceps and patellar tendons and retinacula are intact. The patellar tendon is congenitally elongated with high patellar position (patella Alta). There is no evidence of fatty impingement.

2. Fluid collections: No sizable knee joint effusion or popliteal cyst.

3. Ligaments/tendons: The cruciate and collateral ligaments are intact. The popliteus tendon and iliotibial band are intact.

4. Medial meniscus: No tear is identified.

5. Lateral meniscus: No tear is identified.

6. Osseous/articular: No arthropathy, osteochondral defect, stress fracture, or suspicious bone lesion. An incidental small subcortical benign bone lesion is present in the medial tibial metaphysis which may represent an old nonossifying fibroma or bone island.

7. Other: Superficial varices are present in the posterior medial subcutaneous soft tissues.

MRI 2:
ortho wanted me to do the mri again to cover the area above knee which they didn't cover properly in the first MRI. So, i went back again and got the MRI above knee area.
This is the result.

Findings: Markers have been placed over the distal quadriceps tendon and superior patella to indicate
the site of clinical concern. No soft tissue mass, hematoma, or localized infammatory process is seen
in this region. Specifcally, there is no evidence of infammation involving the pre femoral or quadriceps
fat pads which lie above the patella. The quadriceps tendon appears normal with no evidence of
tendinopathy. There is mild lateral patellar subluxation, a congenitally prominent lateral trochlear ridge,
mild chondromalacia patella, and a developmentally high patellar tendon (patella Alta) which likely serve
as the etiology for the suprapatellar pain, per provided history.

Thank you for the links!!!
I will check his posts.
And I couldn't find any specialist or the physiotherapist from that link. There are no results shown. I am in Georgia State and I couldn't find any specialist. My bad:(
I really want to find some solution to my problem . The non stop burning pain throughout the day is really bad and making me upset.
