Leg brace
« on: January 30, 2020, 09:50:41 AM »
I suffered a bi lateral quads rupture 6 weeks ago. Now in a T Scope Premier leg brace with 60 degrees movement and able to walk well. Started physio and finding it ok so far. The leg braces do not allow for clothes to be worn over them but I need to get back to work and need something less cumbersome. I need an alternative leg brace that is less conspicuous and can be worn under clothes for office wear. Anyone got any ideas?

Your physio or brace fitter should be able to advise on which specific brace(s) are suitable for your injury as well as cost etc. Brands and models do vary by country too
Came off bike onto concrete 9/9/09
LK arthroscopy 8/2/10
2nd scope on 16/12/10
RK arthroscopy on 5/2/15
Lateral meniscus trim, excision of hoffa's fat pad, chondral stabilisation
LK scope 10.1.19 medial menisectomy, trochlea microfracture, general tidy up

Thanks for the advice. Unfortunately I donít have a brace fitter as brace given to me on the NHS in the UK. My physio is pretty non-committal to be perfectly honest hence my post and my hope is someone else might have experience of using a good brace in similar circumstances.

Where in the UK are you? Presumably youíre prepared to go private and pay for the brace as the NHS ones will be the cheaper and so bulky models. Donjoy have physio run fitting centres around the country for example
