Injured knee while stretching
« on: December 20, 2019, 04:40:47 AM »
I'm a pretty inflexible person but I recently started following a stretching video that includes half pigeon. Usually I don't hold this stretch, but one morning decided to push myself and hold it there for an extended period. That night, my knee ached while walking and I felt a distinct click in the kneecap while extending or retracting my right leg. The pain lasted a few days before dying somewhat but it still hurt so I stayed away from exercise until I tried some simple air squats yesterday and the pain has increased again, and there's even still a small click. It's been five weeks since the stretching incident and I'm getting concerned, as I've never had a knee injury before. Is this a sprain? A strain?
