Calf Aches after Microfracture

I had microfracture surgery just over a week ago. For the last 4/5 days my calf feels tight and achy When I move, I'm non weight bearing. If I stand up it also aches. Is this quite common after surgery due to not moving about much and elevating. It isn't swollen, red or warm to the touch.

Has anyone else experienced this issue?

I'd say it sounds normal if you're not moving around and there's swelling in the knee which will be draining when you stand. Are you doing ankle pumps and circles as tolerated? Are you massaging the calf gently , applying heat to the calf? Those may help

You're still very soon post op, you're going to be sore for a while.

Hi thanks for replying Vickster, yes I am circling my ankles and doing foot pumps. The aching eases off as I do the foot pumps. I think i forget its still early days and don't appreciate how big the surgery was.
I'm doing leg raises and knee bends gradually too.

I will try massaging and heat today. I tried ice last night but maybe heat be better
