Bone remodelling
« on: November 06, 2019, 08:50:02 PM »
Hi.  Went to the doctor with pain in my knee that feels like needles stinging and gets really hot.  He had a look at my mis-shapen knee and said there's some bone remodelling going on and sent me for an x-ray.  I've never heard of this and internet has not made it any clearer and I wondered if anyone could explain please. Thanks in advance.

I think he means that for some reason there are areas of change showing on the X-ray where some bone is perhaps being resorbed and other areas where bone seems over-active. There may be several reasons for this, such as a fracture, or some inflammatory process.
