Skin Adhesion
« on: October 13, 2019, 03:26:50 PM »
Hey all,

I have noticed since week 2 post op that I have a coin sized patch of skin on the side of my sutures that seems to be stuck to the bone instead of being loose... I did call my doctor and he said it is normal and that I just need to massage it at a 90 degree angle.

I have been massaging the knee and specially that site vigilantly 3 times a day specially after icing but the patch of skin is not loosening. Has anyone had that before? It is not painful but very numb to the touch. It has been almost a month since the surgery and I only see him on the 25th for my next follow up.

My history: fractured my patella on the 15th of september a transverse pole fracture, had surgery on the 16th and small screws with some sort of light wire was used to put it together). Sutures are resorbable.
