Hi everyone. LCL question.
« on: September 14, 2019, 07:44:17 AM »
Hi. 8 weeks ago I done the typical football injury. I got my foot planted in the floor and it twisted. Heard a pop and went to the walk In centre. They done the examination (no MRI) Anand said I'd strained my LCL. Went to the physio and he done the same. I've done all the rehab and I can bounce around on it like before but it just doesn't feel right?

I've been given the go ahead to play football again and although there is no pain generally I can still feel something with certain  movements. Is it normal 8 weeks down the line after recovery for it to feel like it's not my knee?! There's just some weird things going on in it but I'm unsure if it's confidence issues etc.

Any knee injury takes time to recover from, 8 weeks isn't long. Work at the rehab (try swimming, cycling for fitness, not just weight bearing), don't over do it, maybe a knee support playing football etc would help. Go back to the physio and discuss

Good luck
