I was just reading about how doctors will manipulate a knee under anaesthesia to break up scar tissue and increase range of movement. I had no idea this was even a thing.
I have some pretty intense stiffness in my knee, especially when deep flexing/squatting. It is incredibly wrenching pain, and feels like tendons/ligaments are going to explode. Until now I have always assumed I should squat as briefly as possible, because the pain is bad and would be doing damage.
But now that I know doctors put people under and push their knees through stiffness that would be too painful if they were away, I'm thinking maybe I should push through the pain so long as I can stand it?
