Hello, I’m having both knees operated on in two weeks doing the femoral derotational osteotomy. I am only 30 and have been struggling with Valgus knees my whole life. My right hip seems to me locked and I have been having a lot of groin/hip pain. The doctor said it looks fine and the surgery should help since I’ll be correcting the way I walk. Has anyone else had this done on both knees at once? They will be inserting a rod down the femur bone through my hip rather than the plate technique. I’d like to hear recovery stories and hear that it helped correct anyone else’s problem with valgus knees and hip pain. Any information and advice would be great!
