Knee Issue : Is it a meniscal tear ?
« on: June 13, 2018, 09:40:18 AM »
I am having slight knee pain exactly in the line where meniscus is present. No history of any injury in my right knee. Though I had a ACL recon in my left knee last year.

Pain is very mild sometimes while walking. While sitting a weird feeling like something is moving in my knee ( Whre pain is present). No pain observed while climbing stairs or while doing sqats. No swelling. No POP sound while doing knee extension or no locking symptoms. No pain observed while twisting my knee as well.

A couple of weeks back had this weird feeling that my knee needs a POP and couldn't walk properly. Now that symptom is not present.

Do you think I have hurt my meniscus ?

Go see a medic for examination, a sports Physio is a good start point
Came off bike onto concrete 9/9/09
LK arthroscopy 8/2/10
2nd scope on 16/12/10
RK arthroscopy on 5/2/15
Lateral meniscus trim, excision of hoffa's fat pad, chondral stabilisation
More tears and wear, scope planned in Jan 2019 to tidy up

I had a torn meniscus a two years ago. The pain I had was what I called an annoying pain. It wasn't awful but knew it was there. Nothing really made it better or worse. I would suggest seeing an orthopedic or sports doctor have them look at it and go from there.
