knee posterior medial pain when standing & walking
« on: April 04, 2018, 10:01:48 PM »
Whenever I'm standing still for extended periods  (such as if shaving)i get pain at the inner back of the knee My Mri didn't show any soft tissue damage, but there was a small 1.3cm popliteal cyst behind knee. my doctor believes there to be medial plica syndrome too which my symptoms match , can medial plica syndrome cause any problems in the back of the inner knee? could it be the bakers cyst, Or is a 1.3cm cyst too small to cause any problems?

Here's the report https://1drv.ms/i/s!AuV1ddvwrhiLgaF5XohRHSMKPhmWhQ

How are your muscles? Specifically glutes, calves, hip flexors etc? Are you working with a
Physio on any tightness or imbalance?

here's another link https://drive.google.com/open?id=1tXXUxAO7gBqhCHYzzzKGBFLgrnA14eBQ

I have strengthened and stretched the muscles so that's not the problem, strangely this same pain also happens sometimes when doing calf raises

could a bakers cyst that's 1.3cm in size cause this issue, or is it to small to cause problems? I don't feel any cyst lump in the back of my knee

this might as well be cartilage damage. i have chondromalacia and when i'm standing my pain is behind the knee rather than in front of it. didn't have much info on MRI too.

Link image says you have a bone bruise. Could be the cause of pain. I doubt youíd feel a small 1.3cm cyst?
