Knee reconstruction and numb for 8yrs
« on: May 27, 2018, 12:44:34 AM »
Hi all new here, I had a full knee reconstruction R leg April 2010 grafts from left hamstring and I've been numb from mid thigh down both legs, sharp pain like screwdriver digging in knee and electric pulse feelings, winter is worse some days I can't walk, I've had pain blocks, nerve tests, everything, I can't work again, but 8yrs I've put up with it and pain R leg daily it's a nightmare, I've hit my leg with a 4 pound hammer no feel, I've stabbed leg with splinter picks with blood flowing out and specialist amused at how bad it is, for some you have it for life I suppose and very hard to deal with
Can chronic pain get any better 8yrs so far after full knee reconstruction, got to learn to live with it and change your lifestyle to accommodate it.
