Advice needed for brace after TKR
« on: January 26, 2018, 08:48:52 PM »
Hi All,

I had a TKR one year ago, but I still have pain if I walk for more than 1 hour.  My friend had a Donjoy 4titude brace and I found that the brace helped me to walk longer with less pain.  The ACL and PCL were sacrificed in the surgery, so I am presume that I have instability due to the missing ACL and PCL.  So, I am guessing that the brace adds some stability.  Can anyone recommend another brace that might improve my situation?

I cannot recommend a brace because I have not had TKR. I fractured my patella and thatís why Iím here looking for answers. Since you lost acl and another in surgery it would probably be reasonable to wear a light support all the time on that leg and a heavier support for times you are gonna be putting the knee through more stress. Good luck finding the right brace.
