cuts that never heal after having tibial plateau surgery
« on: December 28, 2017, 02:19:24 PM »
Has anyone experienced this? I had tibial plateau surgery about 4 years ago. The knee feels great, but I have experienced a number of strange complications. Let me list them.
1. The hair on the lower leg that I hurt doesn't really grow that much (they has shaved it prior to surgery).
2. Swelling in lower leg, and then I get bruising on the sides and near the Achilles tendon on that foot.
3. Small cuts on the lower leg take MONTHS to heal. My doctor was so concerned he sent me to a specialist to take a sample of the scab because he thought it might be cancerous (it was not).

This past summer, while working outside, a small stick punctured my lower leg (small cut). It really hasn't healed, and I started putting some anti-biotic on it, and now I've made the hole bigger.

Does anyone have similar symptoms? No doctor I've seen has ever heard of this or seen it either. Am I some sort of freak?!
