OATS Allograft what to expect+my story/blog
« on: November 25, 2017, 05:03:44 AM »
Heading into Steadman Clinic next week for LaPrade  to do oats on left knee in the trochlea. Fixing a 10mmx15 defect. High hopes of finally getting back to 100% after recovery and riding snowmobiles in the backcountry again (next winter)

Love to hear from others on howís your went especially if in trochlea or LaPrade.

Glad I found LaPrade and can afford to spend till just before Christmas in town, after that I will be home in Minneapolis seeking PT seems oats is a rare thing there as Iíve been to tria and osr PTís neither truly have oats experience besides here and there. Iíll probly give mayo a call in Minneapolis as I know they do oats procedures there.

Iíll update as things progress next week.

Thanks for your update! Was it so that you already had a chondroplasty with LaPrade a few months ago? If so, did it help?

Yes I did have chondroplasty with him a few months back, not sure if it helped or the blood flow restriction therapy I did after that helped since I was finally able to build a little quad muscle but either way the combo had me A LOT better but still was never going to get to 100%

I understand, but can I ask what is "blood flow restriction therapy"?
