Food
« on: March 23, 2004, 03:27:08 PM »
OK, so I'm a foodie.  I love to cook, but mainly I love to eat, and I'm game to try pretty much anything.  This thread is open  for anything food related: fave things to cook, eat, restaraunts, etc. :)

I have spring fever bad!  I can't wait until we can fire up the grill.  I've spent the past few weeks thinking of my favorite warm-weather menu:

1.  my hubby's yogurt/garlic/rosemary grilled leg of lamb
2.  grilled sweet corn
3.  garden fresh tomatoes with onion, mozzerella and balsamic vinegar
4.  fresh cherries

Anybody else?

I live in Maryland, and my favorite food is crabs... with a side of sweet corn.  And a beer or two.

What's really nice about this is... Mom doesn't really have to cook!   ;D

Hello Danielle, what a good idea to share your favourite type of food's with other Members on this board so here it goes, I always liked spicy food and the UK City I live in is well known for its Curries and always order a Chicken Brinjal when I eat out at my Local Indian Restaurant. Chicken Brinjal is a medium curry that contains aubergines that combines really well with the sauce that's not too mild or hot on your palette. What you must have with the Chicken Brinjal is plain Nan bread that helps mop up any left over sauce in bowl with a pint of lager to wash it down with.

The best meal to have at home is Roast lamb with mint sauce, roast potatoes and parsnips drizzled in lamb gravy with a good glass of good quality dry red wine, Nick  :){2004}:)

I wanna come eat at your house, Nick! ;D

I've become a big parsnip fan as of late.  They're really good roasted as they get all sweet and syrupy!

I love making Manicotti (with meat or not) and chicken parmesean.  Anything with a lot of cheese actually, I love cheese.  And anytime my dad makes beef stew or chicken quesadillas, I'm there.

I just looooooove to cook. Two days home from the hospital after my TKR and I had to make a big pot of homemade soup....Butternut squash with a little chipotle pepper. Seafood is my middle name.......any kind. I love to make chicken chili, quesadillas, grilled veg of all kinds and anything cajun............like my food hot & spicy and as I get a little older I find myself preferring very little red meat. :D
