ACL revision 12 weeks post op
« on: May 01, 2017, 03:22:54 PM »
Hi there
I had my second ACL surgery 12 weeks ago. I am a healthy and fit 42 year old woman. My first surgery was 22 years ago using patellar tendon, the second time hamstring was used. My healing and pain level is better this time but I'm taking a long time to get my range of motion back. I am close to full extension but flexion is only 105 degrees. My knee is very stiff and aches. Most of the pain is behind and to the outside of my knee and a throbbing burning sensation around the incision at top of shin.
I was hoping others could share their experiences with this.
I had complications with infection with my first surgery so it's difficult to compare them.
Thanks!
