Worried after OATS procedure
« on: September 02, 2016, 09:56:17 PM »
Hi
Bit of background. I'm 23 and have just had oats procedure on my right knee. They transferred from non weight baring to weight baring. I am 3 weeks past op and having trouble bending my knee. I can get to about 35/40 but it's so tight it feels like something is gonna pop or atleast like it's going to damage something. I just need advise on if this is normal? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks guys!

I'm about 3-4 weeks out with OATS/microfracture, and I'm closer to 90.  The thing that I found that helped the most was icing (if you aren't doing that a ton anyways).  When I wake up in the morning (after being locked in extension all night), my knee is so stiff it takes my entire morning exercises to get back to my max.

How are you healing?  Is your ROM better now?
