Both my knees are stiff first thing in the morning and i get a moderate amount of pain particularly when going up or down stairs. They don't hurt when I walk and ride a bike so presume no serious issue. However, they make a real crunching noise when I squat down (if you squat slowly the noise just carries on!) or walk up or down stairs. The noise is quite loud and I would compare it to someone treading very slowly on some cornflakes !
Any thoughts, or do I need to exercise my quads more. I'm in pretty good health, not overweight although not very fit.
