4 Months After Fulkerson Osteotomy Struggle
« on: June 15, 2016, 05:54:30 PM »
Hello I am 20 years old and I got the Fulkerson Osteotomy operation on my right knee February 22, 2016. It is now coming up on four months post op. The knee feels great, ROM is almost all the way back but I am having a lot of trouble walking. I'm going to try to explain the feeling the best I can but it is a very weird feeling. There's an odd tightness below my knee that makes it hard to walk along with a popping which feels as though the patella is slightly moving when I bend it at certain points. There is no pain associated with this. My knee feels as though it is getting stronger but I am still very slow and my mobility is slacking. I'm curious if this is a common problem or if something may still be wrong with my knee? My PT says the popping will go away with more strengthening but i still havent seen any improvements with my mobility. Can someone please help relate this problem or give me some advice to improve my walking. It is really bothering me.  :-\ Thanks.
