Meniscus surgery 14 months ago, reinjured, pain when flexing
« on: December 19, 2015, 12:12:20 AM »
Hi all! I had a flap of meniscus removed about 14 months ago. I was feeling very good until last week when i was trudging through snow and fell backwards and twisted while my lower leg was buried in snow. I think I might have a small tear. My knee is clicking slightly again at times but not as bad as before my first surgery. What is weird though is when I fully flex my knee, like doing a catcher's squat, there is a sharp pain and I can no longer put any weight on the leg. The pain dissipates in a few minutes and I'm back to walking normally. The pain is on the outside of my knee, around my MCL. Any idea what this could be? Perhaps the meniscus detached and is being pinched? Or a nerve or tendon is being pinched? Any ideas?
