ACL revision in one or two sessions?
« on: December 01, 2015, 04:44:00 PM »
Hi there!
I'm undergoing an ACL revision surgery in about a week. I'm currently concerned whether to ask the surgeon to do the surgery in one go, or to ask him to do it in two sessions...That is: Removing the old screws and graft in the first session, then letting the bone heal and place the graft properly on the second revision surgery.

He says unless it is impossible for him to do in the first session due to the size of the previous tunnels, it is up to me to choose whether to do it in one or two sessions.

Any experience, or pointing out to the right thread (I'm new to this forum) would be greatly appreciated.
