Life after patella fracture/ arthofibrosis
« on: November 15, 2015, 09:37:41 PM »
I have just been released from my OS and physical therapist! It was an emotional day to say the least. I am a 34 year old wife, mother, and teacher. After a patella fracture that required me to have 1/2 my Patel removed and be immobile for 8 weeks I was in a very dark place. I was unable to do anything and very depressed. Everything that I read online was negative which really scared me.

Therapy was painful and discouraging. I was blessed with the most wonderful PT. he was my cheerleader, my counselor, and my advocate. With his help.... I can do my job 100%, I can pick up my daughter, and I have my life back! Patellar fracture is a terrible injury, but you will get better with hard work and support! Since this was my first injury, I now know to never take my health for granted!

We just booked a trip to Disney followed by a cruise to the is good

I hope that if you are just starting this horrific journey, that my story gives you hope!
