Scar Tissue Remove during Harware removal from Knee cap
« on: June 25, 2015, 09:06:38 PM »
I will have the hardware removed next month from knee cap surgery and my surgeon suggested that he can cut original incision site and trim all massive scar tissues (seven inches long and 1/8 inch wide) to make incision look better when taking out the hardware . I just wonder if I should let him do that as I would have a large incision (seven inches) instead of one inch which is large enough to remove the hardware.  My concern is that scar tissues will come back?   Any suggestions?

Is he suggesting this because you have alot of scar tissue around your knee? I had open surgery to have scar tissue removed and it came back. However, if he's going to go in there to take out the hardware, he might as well clean it up too.
