Knee makes a Cracking sound
« on: February 20, 2004, 08:22:47 PM »
Hope someone out there can help. I fell on a patch of ice 3 months ago and landed on my left knee. There was no swelling and it was slightly sore for a coulpe of days (with a small bruise). But every time I bend it now it cracks (like a dry twig). It does not hurt at all. Should I have this checked out. I guess I'm worried that a piece of bone or something is scratching something and this may cause problems when I get older.
Thanks in advance, Brad

It wouldn't hurt to get it checked out. Usually I have heard if it does not hurt but it cracks, it is ok. If you are concerned you should go see an OS to be sure.

Hope this helped a little.
