MRI results, question
«
on:
February 14, 2004, 11:38:06 PM »
I had an MRI yesterday on my left knee which showed:
LCL - Partial Tear or sprain
Lateral Meniscus - Tear
Medial Meniscus - Contusion or Meniscoid degeneration
Patellar Tendinosis
I am wondering if anyone who visits here had any of these injuries and what was done for it. I have yet to make an appointment with an Ortho, but that is happening Monday.
I slipped down a few stairs in December which is what caused all that wonderful junk.
Any info is appreciated!
Thanks,
Elizabeth

Sounds like an arthroscopy is in order. I bet that's what the os will want to do. It's not a big deal, they put a couple little cuts below the kneecap edge and go in there with a camera and little tools, and will trim the meniscal tear if it can't be fixed, and see what else is going on, and most likely fix what they can while they're there.
Good luck with it.

Thank you very much for your reply.
I am not new to the concept of arthroscopy, as I had one on my right wrist in July to repair some torn cartilage there.
Hopefully I'll be able to get an appointment soon so I can get this taken care of ASAP.
Thanks again,
Elizabeth

I went ahead and scanned in my MRI report if that makes it easier for anyone to decipher.
